Miley Ray Cyrus's actual name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23rd 1993, in Franklin Tennessee, she was born at Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. The youngest of five siblings, including two sisters and brothers younger than her. She was named by her parents as they wanted her to be successful. Miley was her name in the early years because of the jovial nature of Miley. Her maternal grandfather was Democratic politician Ron Cyrus. Cyrus went to Heritage Elementary School, Tennessee. At the age of eighteen, Cyrus and her family moved to Toronto in Canada which is where Billy Ray, Cyrus's father, starred as Doc (2001) on TV. At this point, Cyrus also decided to become an actor. In Doc (2001) in which she performed alongside her father. The first time she appeared was with the father of Doc (2001). Cyrus was chosen in 2005 as the star of the Disney TV series Hannah Montana, which is an edgy teenager living in a double life. Again her father acted alongside the actress in her. This show became a hit and sold out tours, hit records and merchandise deals were also in the pipeline. Cyrus was a popular teen star. After the success in Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus changed roles. She was Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
